MBE Worldwide, one of the largest third-party logistics, printing and communications service retail networks in the world, with 2,300 locations globally, has acquired AlphaGraphics, Inc. (“AlphaGraphics”), a leading design, printing, marketing and communications retail system.
Following this acquisition, MBE Worldwide’s global network now encompasses more than 2,600 global business service centers – 500 in the US and 2,100 internationally in 40 countries – and expects to achieve system-wide sales of approximately €800 million in 2017.
Both MBE Worldwide and AlphaGraphics currently operate in the business services industry through a retail-based network, which is owned and operated by individual entrepreneurs. MBE specializes in third-party logistics, focusing on shipping, micro and related retail logistics services. AlphaGraphics concentrates on offering premium graphic design, printing, marketing and communications services. Both companies serve primarily SME businesses (small and medium-sized enterprises) as well as private consumers.
Thanks to this $61.5 million investment (excluding possible post-closing adjustment), and also considering recent US-based PostNet acquisition in April 2017, MBE ensured an even stronger presence in the US market and an expanded global services offering.
